The Saturday, August 3rd street fest will be headlined by Linkin Park and a portion of the ticket sales will go towards the nonprofit organization Music For Relief, started by LP to support disaster relief and the prevention of natural disasters through various environmental programs.

“Each year SSMF celebrates the Los Angeles music scene with one-of-a-kind performances on The Sunset Strip. From Fergie performing with Slash in 2010 to Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger taking the stage with Marilyn Manson in 2012, SSMF creates unique moments you won’t find anywhere else,” noted SSMF co-producer and Roxy owner Nic Adler. “This year’s street festival features bands Linkin Park, Awolnation, Asher Roth and Street Drum Corps, whose careers began performing in Sunset Strip venues. We look forward to welcoming these artists back as they perform in front of thousands of fans on the music boulevard’s largest stage.”

2013 marks the 6th annual SSMF. The 3-day festival is August 1-3, 2013 and tickets are on sale now through Eventbrite!

DRUM! Magazines 2012 Drum Ensemble Of The Year winners, Street Drum Corps, present their high-energy & over-the-top show “ Lost Vegas” June 15th
July 27th, August 24th, September 28th, October 19th & November 16th 2013 exclusively at Vinyl Las Vegas (Inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino).

Once your ticket is taken, you enter Street Drum Corps playground. With massive sound and epic visuals, the audience will experience Street Drum Corps as never before.

The show will feature full on Instrumental percussive numbers as well as epic songs with vocals. Musical selections will span SDC’s Nine-year history, as well as new numbers.

The youthful SDC Cast is made up of ten theatrical performers, decked out in cutting-edge costumes, makeup and props crafted specifically for SDC. The performers push the boundaries of creativity while pounding on drums or joining you for an impromptu jam session in the crowd.
SDC performs mainly on recyclable found instruments. Everything from oil drums to washing machines.
