The Street Drum Corps Want You!

We're looking for new members and musicians to join the Street Drum Corps. To audition, please read the requirements, download the application, and send it in to us.

Being a member of the Street Drum Corps is demanding. We are seeking men and women who can meet the following requirements:

• Candidates must be able to audition in downtown Los Angeles on September 18th, 2008 between 9am and 7pm
• Solid percussion/drum skills or strong musical background
  
• Excellent acting skills – the ability to communicate honestly and non-verbally in various environments and situations
  
• Open to exploring an alternative acting style
  
• Able to work well with others in a colalborative working environment
  
• Have a vibrant, dynamic personality
  
• Open-minded
  
• Willing to travel and/or relocate

If that all sounds good, here's the process:

Step One: Interview
Due to the large volume of applicants, we do a private interview or screening to determine who we take on to the next step. .

Step Two: Drumming Audition
This is the second step and lasts only a short time (generally 5-15 minutes). While short in length, it provides us with a wealth of information about how your drumming skills and overall musicality match up with the needs of a Street Drum Corps member.

Step Three: Acting Auditions
The acting auditions are the first opportunity to look at the candidate’s range and thought process.
